Hi there,
We are from Room 2,Burnham School, New Zealand. We are looking at Endangered Animals including the Humpback whale. We wanted to say your blog look cool. We also want to know how students felt about the oil spill, as we have been investigating it. We think you might be holiday....

Thanks for your comment. We enjoyed our ocean research and we are deeply saddened by the devastation of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. We are on holiday, but we'll be back together for another year together beginning August 23 so stay in touch! We'd love to work on a collaborative project with Room 2. Take care,
Jill

Hi Jill and the rest of the class,
I was looking for Grade 1 or 2 blogs on the edublogs list as I will be teaching Year 2 next year here in NZ. I have taught research skills with slightly older children but not as young as Year 2 and I just came across the google custom search engine - this has solved all my problems. What a great idea.
What do you kids like most about doing your own research?
Thanks for sharing your learning.
